As co-founder of Raising Sages Integrative Pediatrics, I am passionate about helping families reverse and prevent disease and suffering by finding the root cause of their health problems. As a Holistic Health Coach, I view the body as a whole. My goal is to help my clients achieve their maximum health potential by evaluating their lifestyle and by using nutrition as part of their treatment and eventual healing.
After receiving my Master’s Degree in Science from U.C.L.A. as a Nurse Practitioner, it wasn’t long before I realized that modern medicine doesn’t always improve a patient’s health. That’s because allopathic (western) medicine often uses what I consider to be a “band aid approach” to their health problems. What I mean by that is it does not get to the root cause of the disease. Nor does it deal with ways to prevent diseases from occurring in the first place. In fact, allopathic treatments and conventional medicine are focused on suppressing symptoms instead at finding the underlying causes. Sadly, I saw many patients who returned for treatment of the same ailment time and time again.
Frustrated that I wasn’t able to sufficiently help these patients, I began my lengthy quest to learn more about an alternative, non-conventional approach to medicine. This eventually took me on a six-month-long journey through Asia with my husband and two children to study various healing methods and health practices used by eastern cultures. I witnessed some amazing results and currently use these practices for myself and my own family. I have since had the opportunity to explore some fascinating and powerful approaches to health and disease prevention, including Ayurvedic methods, homeopathy, nutrition, and even the value of lifestyle changes.
It was my interest in holistic and preventative medicine that led me to become a certified Holistic Health Coach (CHHC), accredited by the (AADP) American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I received my education from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, where I was trained in over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques and cutting-edge coaching methods. I have studied modalities taught by top experts in the field of health and wellness, including Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Sally Fallon, Dr. David Katz, Dr. John Douillard, Dr. Mark Hyman, and David Wolfe among many others. My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching and the importance of preventative health care.
Drawing on my personal experience, education, and hands-on training, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. I work closely with my clients to help them make the dietary lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
Nothing is more fulfilling to me than consulting with families about ways to upgrade their health and seeing the positive results that come about! I look forward to working with you on your road back to good health and happiness.
In addition to researching and consulting with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing yoga, traveling the world, making tasty dishes from my organic garden, and reading spiritual philosophy.
