As the co-founder of Raising Sages Pediatrics, a holistic and functional Medicine Pediatrics practice, I see so many parents come in who are tired and completely zapped of energy. Many of our parents are taking care of children who are extremely sick; asthma, allergies, adhd, gut and immune issues. Taking care of children, especially sick children is a full time job and can be extremely exhausting.

I remember when I was a new mother and my daughter had extreme reflux. The endless nights of carrying her upright to avoid medications really took a toll on me. My husband was a medical resident at the time and worked over 100 hours a week. I was alone and exhausted. I started forgetting things due to lack of sleep. I remember he would do the night shift with her on Friday nights when he came home and I would just sleep for 13 hours straight.

In spite of all this, I was determined to make healthy homemade organic meals/purees for her. But while I was feeding her homemade healthy meals, I put myself on the back burner. As most mothers do, we put ourselves last and put our children first. I even skipped meals so I could cook for her or sleep. I didn’t realize that I needed to take care of myself if I wanted to be here for them.

My second child came and of course the exhaustion grew greater. I still didn’t have any systems in place. I did everything for them; best homemade foods and nutrition, baby classes, my undivided attention as they were my total joy. BUT I neglected myself……..and soon I was always exhausted. I put my food habits second so I could make the best for them.

One day I realized that if I didn’t take care of myself, I wouldn’t be around to take care of them. I researched every book about nutrition and babies but not for me! I was too exhausted to cook for myself. I needed simple systems in place. That was 13 years ago. Since then I have helped so many people reverse and prevent so many diseases over the years.

Who am I? My name is Sapna Fliedner, a certified holistic health coach and co-founder of Raising Sages Pediatrics; a Holistic and Functional Medicine Pediatrics Practice. I was formally trained in allopathic medicine as a nurse practitioner and have seen and witnessed first hand many families torn apart by death and illnesses that could have been prevented.

Over the last 15 years, I have researched health and wellness modalities. I am trained in eastern (Ayurveda, Pranic healing) western medicine, and alternative medicine (pranic healing- energy medicine, essential oils, functional nutrition ). Not only have I learned different nutritional theories ( Vegetarian, Vegan, Raw, Paleo, Ayurvedic, Weston Price), I learned that not one size fits all. Every body is different and you have to do what’s right for you. This is called bio-individuality.

Not at all! There are recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there is room for snacks in between. Every meal is delicious and created by a fabulous chef to nourish your body from the inside out. This program is not about starvation or deprivation, and we are not counting calories or dwelling on carbs. You will feel satisfied with every bite. If you do get hungry, there are extra snack recipes included!


Please workout during the program! If you feel tired or have low energy, exercising restores both strength and energy. During this program, you will be eating protein and drinking plenty of liquids, so if you’re already exercising, there’s no reason to stop! It is important to remember that whenever you change the foods you eat your body changes as well. Please consult with your doctor if you have any specific concerns about your health.


You will have the option for plant or animal-based proteins, which will be listed out for you in your recipes and suggested meals. There are so many “clean eating protein sources” to choose from you won’t get bored with your options!


No way! While there are some juices and smoothies for you to choose from, you will also be eating salads, soups, and even desserts that are delicious, nutritious, and will eliminate toxins in your body in a safe and natural way.


Not in this program!! The only supplement I recommend that everyone take on a daily basis is a probiotic, and you’ll learn why in this program.


If you are nursing, I suggest that you add at least 4-6 ounces of protein at lunch and dinner, boost your morning smoothie with a scoop of hemp or pea protein, and eat snacks in between meals.
